What is the SEPA Transfer?

Updated time: Apr 17, 2026, 09:30 (UTC+08:00)

The SEPA is in short for The Single Euro Payments Area which is a single market for euro-denominated payments. The European Union (EU) created this idea to harmonise payments across the Eurozone.

The SEPA zone allows customers and businesses to make cross-border credit transfers and direct debit payments in euros as easily and securely as domestic transactions. The Europe-wide standardized procedures for cashless payment transactions can be used in all of these countries.

What Is an IBAN?

IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is a standardized format for identifying bank accounts in international transactions. It includes a country code, check digits, and a unique account number.

IBAN helps reduce payment errors, speed up cross-border transfers, and ensure consistency in global banking systems, including within the SEPA region.

When you choose “The SEPA Transfer” in our payment methods, you need to have an account of a bank based in the SEPA countries to send the amount of money to our Euro accounts. With the SEPA Transfer method, it usually shouldn’t cost any more than a regular, local transfer and the process only takes 1-2 working days.
